Last year, during a leadership retreat at St. Vincent Seton Cove Spirituality Center, I encountered ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐จ๐ "๐๐จ๐ฎ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ก๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ฌ." Thomas, one of Jesusโs disciples, refused to believe in Christ's resurrection without tangible proof. Jesus later appeared, inviting Thomas to touch his wounds, transforming doubt into trust. This story spoke to me not only as a spiritual lesson but also as a powerful metaphor for the role of ๐ก๐๐ข๐ ๐ก ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ โ๐๐.
๐๐ก๐จ๐ฆ๐๐ฌ ๐ง๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฏ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฏ๐. How often do we, as leaders, face similar moments of doubt? How frequently do our teams grapple with uncertainty, seeking proof before embracing change?

Being part of the leadership team for two major Data and Analytics Transformation programs this past year, Iโve learned that trust is multifaceted:

2๏ธโฃ ๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐๐ฅ๐ โ Leadership begins with self-trust. Itโs not about having all the answers but trusting your ability to learn, adapt, and leadโeven when the way ahead is unclear.
3๏ธโฃ ๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก โ Transformation requires more than individual efforts. Trust must extend beyond immediate teams to peers, partners, and cross-functional collaborators. True collaboration flourishes when trust spans the entire ecosystem.

Here are the fundamental principles I have discovered for building and maintaining trust:
